![]() ![]() Motorola Cdm1550 Programming Software For Free Or AOnly versions of CPS released after 2013 require the entitlement key to do 25kHz channels, so as long as you keep the codeplug and CPS at an older version, youll be fine. If you actually buy CPS, (the way I understand it) you can take a classtest to certify that you understand that you cant use 25kHz channels on narrowband frequencies, and then can purchase 0 entitlement keys to unlock individual computers. As for exactly which version was the last that doesnt require an entitlement key, Ive heard different stories. The two I hear most often is 6.12.2 and 6.12.5. Ive managed to keep almost all of my CDM radios all the way back at something like 6.11.4, mainly because I havent been running into any issues with such an old version and just didnt want to figure it out the hard way. I did just get an HT1250 which didnt like any of my 6.11. Motorola Cdm1550 Programming Software Series Is NewCPS versions, so a more definitive answer is possibly soon in my future) As for hardware, the Waris (CDM75012501550 HT75012501550) series is new enough that you can program them with pretty much any of the 15 RIBless USB cables you can find on eBay thanks to them not being dependent on DOSreal serial ports. Motorola Cdm1550 Programming Software Plus A HomeThe mobiles use the same programmer cable as the RadiusGM300 series and the R1225M1225 series, so I still use a RIB plus a home-made DB25 to RJ45 cable that I set up years ago. I think the CDM1550 is a better fit for my needs, but have been starting to shy away from it because of my confusion.
